links in blogs and the library now open into a new window

i'm fooling around with the library's what's new and category pages.
pardon the construction :)

unexpected outage resolved
service was down for about 45 minutes just now due to a problem accessing the database. it's fixed :)

added a Find Category function to the Library's What's New page

i just noticed a bug in the queue -- it's not showing or counting "new" messages that are really old. i'll see if i can fix that tonight

update: 16 Jan -- this should be working now :)

send comment function added to blog posts.

when you're browsing someone's blog and have something to say about a post, click send comment at the right side of the post's date bar. the Send Message page will open, all filled in and ready for your comment.

added experimental rss feeds of our front page posts. the link to the feed is on your front page under your username, way over on the right side.

when browsing a specific category in the library, some sites were not being listed. (they weren't showing up if tagged with only a single category.)

our own blogs now have page numbers and page-turning arrows at the bottom :)

hi all. i'm trying something... each site in the library now has a link to the person who blogged it. try it out and see what you think.

also, blogs should be loading faster :)

the server may be slow today, i'm running some heavy data-processing jobs.
i expect this will be done by tomorrow :)

your tags page layout has been improved -- with nice clean columns :)

when browsing through tags, there's now a link to get back to the entire list of tags

when turning through the pages of a blog, the banner is no longer shown on the second and later pages.

this is more convenient when visiting someone who has a long banner :)

hello :) just a quick update on a few significant changes:

- all tags in your blog now go to your reviews, instead of going to the library.

- a new link has been added to get to all your tags; it's under your blog's name.

- you can still get to a library category, by clicking one of your tags first and then clicking the "search library" link that appears.

page turners have been added to the bottom of blogs you visit.
eventually your own blog will have some too.

added category-tag-links to the Library's Category pages. it's much nicer to browse now :)

Friends:
if you add a Friend, any messages they previously sent are moved out of Contacts and into the Queue
if you remove a Friend, their messages are moved out of the Queue and into Contacts

Messaging:
the Send Message link on a blog now sends the Blog page instead of a blank page
